Paul’s letter to the Ephesians ends with a call to warfare. But our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the Powers and Principalities who seek to deform any benign, and even good, thing into a defining and ultimate reality, thereby dividing, dehumanising, and disordering our humanity.
