Lent

Mitch Everingham, 08th February 2024

Lent is a 40 day season historically celebrated by churches of all traditions as a period of preparation for Easter. It is modelled off Jesus 40 day fast in the wilderness and used by Christians as a time of repentance, fasting, prayer and generosity. It is a way or entering into the story of Jesus and orienting our hearts around his suffering, and death. Many people chose to fast during the 40 days of Lent. As a companion to our FORMED series, we are encouraging you to consider how you could enter into the story of the gospel in preparation for Easter.
